How To Book a Virtual Trip to the Farm

We also have a Virtual Field Trip video available. We made it especially for elementary and middle school age students, but adults will love it, too. Farmer Olivia incorporates topics from the SOL science curriculum for fourth through sixth-grade students as she takes you on a fun and funny tour of the farm.

The virtual field trip is great for groups like:

An elementary or middle school class
A summer camp cohort
4-H group
Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts
Homeschool group
or just a Group of Friends!

How To Access the Field Trip Video

The Virtual Field Trip is $25 per group. Cost includes:

A link and password giving you two-weeks’ access to the video
A video outline to assist in creating quizzes or asking students follow-up questions

Book your field trip online by using the blue check-out button below. Then email Whittney: whittney@lynchburggrows.org to let her know what time frame you’d like to have for accessing the video, and she’ll send you the link and materials. There’s also an option, for an additional $25, to book a 30-minute virtual meeting with one of our farmers to ask follow-up questions after your group has viewed the video.

In-Person Field Trips

We typically host many student field trips every year. Whether your group of students is from a public school, private school, or home school group, we are happy to have you. The farm experience for student groups lasts from an hour to an hour and a half, and includes a farm tour, a garden lesson, and a vegetable tasting.

For groups of up to 20 students the field trip fee is $50. If you have more than 20 students, please email Whittney to make arrangements for the group. She can also schedule your field trip for you: whittney@lynchburggrows.org.
