Fix this 1/10/10

The ol' dump truck that could and will. Photo by Aaron Lee
For those folks with romantic notions of farm life, consider that it was in the 20s most of the week and the wind was ripping into our chapped hands at every turn. (Thank goodness for Burt’s Bees hand salve). Regardless, we had to push on to clean the chicken coop and get the dump truck and tractor running again, which we did. Micha and I didn’t have much clue how to get the dump truck running because neither of us are mechanics. But a new battery and some hydraulic fluid got it to par. Although, I was glad we discovered (on flat ground) that the brake fluid reservoir needed a boost. On a warmer note, the temperature in Greenhouses #1 & 2 got up in the 90s a couple of days and we were working in t-shirts. – Aaron Lee
