With our inaugural, sold-out Greenhouse Dinner event in October 2016, we successfully launched a series of special events that we hope will lead Lynchburg Grows to become one of the city's favorite community gathering places. We have three community events planned for 2017. Each will appeal to a slightly different audience. Below are descriptions and sponsorship information for each event as they are currently planned.

Spring Event: The Salad Days

Event Date: May 13, 2017

A giant salad bar in the greenhouse will hold a variety of our spring produce, such as spring mix lettuce, arugula, spinach, green onions, carrots, beets, and more. We'll also have produce from other local farms and area chefs will each contribute a salad add-on: a special dressing, a protein, or croutons, for example. It's a great opportunity for us to not only promote Lynchburg Grows, but also the farmers who are part of our network, and chefs who cook with local ingredients.

Guests will make their own salads at the salad bar, then head out to our green space for an early evening picnic. We'll have picnic tables and blankets, live music and an outdoor bar with local beer and wine.
